Hazards

  2.  Contact with surfaces where live virus may be present

People at risk

  1. Choir members and Choir Director.

  2. Families of Choir members and wider community

Controls

In order to reduce transmission of virus through small droplets and aerosols, additional ventilation will be provided through open doors at the back of the church and outside door next to the altar.

  • Social distancing will be 2 metres when seated/standing to sing (stickers indicate).

  • Musical Director will direct from the organ, and keyboard, both of which are at least 2 metres away.

Singers will be side by side, no face to face singing. Rows between pews have been roped off, so choir (40 people max) will be well spaced out.  This venue was chosen for the large cavernous, well ventilated nature of the church.

Singers to exercise restraint and rehearse fortissimo passages quietly in order to minimise transmission through small droplets and aerosols.
